Bodensdorf is situated between Feldkirchen (11 km) and Villach (approx. 15 km), directly at Ossiachersee (lake) which is 11 km long and 46 m deep. It is the main resort at the lake. Pleasant water temperatures (in summer up to 28°C) which makes it ideal for swimming and other water activities. For those interested in culture there is the annual Carinthisch Summer at Ossiachersee (musical event) and many excursions and sight seeings in the surrounding area such as the Alm- and mountain farm museum on the Gerlitzen Alps, the thermals warmbath Villach, the 'Burgarena Finkenstein' or the Eagle flight show on the castle Landskron.
